At The Stove and Fireplace we offer a fully certified and insured chimney sweep service across the Medway towns. Our sweeps are trained to the highest standard so you get a clean sweep of the wood burner, open fire, gas fire, Aga or pizza oven, and a house left as we found it.
Sheets go down before rods come out. We work with a sealed plate and vacuum so soot stays in the flue and the equipment rather than in the room, and we check the appliance, the door rope, the baffle and the cowl while we are there.
Every visit ends with a sweep certificate. That is the document your home insurer will ask for if you ever have a chimney fire, and it is worth keeping with the appliance paperwork.
We also give straight advice on how to run your appliance, because most of the soot we remove is the result of damp wood or a stove being shut down too far rather than anything wrong with the chimney.
Booking is required and the autumn is our busiest period, so contact us early in the season.

We are a family run showroom and installation team based at the oast in Burham, Kent. Over sixty stoves are on display, five of them lit on the days we are open, and every installation is carried out by our own fitters from the first survey through to the certificate and the first sweep. We cover the Medway towns, Maidstone and the wider south east.
