HomeServicesInstallation and service

One team from survey to certificate.

We do not subcontract. The people who survey your chimney are the people who fit the stove and the people who come back to sweep it.

Stove installation

01

Free home survey

A surveyor measures the opening, inspects the chimney, checks ventilation and confirms hearth requirements, then puts it all in writing.

02

Most fitted in a day

A single stove into a sound chimney is normally a one day job. Twin wall systems and building work take longer and we tell you honestly which yours is.

03

Certificated on completion

HETAS registration means we self certificate the installation, so there is no separate building control application and no delay.

What happens on the day

Dust sheets go down before anything else and a vacuum runs throughout. The old appliance or fire surround comes out, the chimney is swept and lined, the hearth is laid and the stove is set, connected and sealed.

Once it is in we light it with you, run through the air controls, explain what good fuel looks like and hand over the manual and the certificate.

Before we go, the room is cleaned and everything we took out is taken away. The first sweep can be booked there and then for twelve months later.

Book a free survey

Questions we get asked.

How far do you travel?
Across Kent and into the south east from our base at Burham. Surveys are free within our area and we will tell you straight away if you are outside it.
Do I need to be at home?
Someone over eighteen needs to be there for access and for the handover at the end, when we light the stove with you.
What about building regulations?
Being HETAS registered means we self certificate the work. You receive the certificate on completion and the installation is notified for you.

Speak to a person

Whatever you are planning, start here.

Homeowners, builders, landlords and architects all begin the same way: a conversation. Tell us a little about the room or the project and we will come back with honest advice and one clear price in writing.

  1. 01

    We listen first

Tell us about the room or the project, not the budget. We will ask what it needs to do.

  2. 02

    We come and look

A proper survey, free of charge, with the chimney and ventilation checked before anything is quoted.

  3. 03

    One clear price

Everything in writing, stove to certificate, with nothing added later.
