Wood burning stoves
01
Sized to the room
Most homes are sold a stove that is far too big. We work out the heat the room actually needs so the fire can run hot and clean rather than shut down and smoulder.
02
Ecodesign as standard
Every wood burner we sell meets the current ecodesign standard, which means less fuel, cleaner glass and more of the heat staying in the room.
03
One price in writing
Stove, liner, hearth, labour and making good all in a single quotation, with nothing added once the fitters are on site.

What a wood burner needs to work properly
A wood burner is only as good as the flue above it and the hearth beneath it. Before we quote, a surveyor measures the opening, checks the state of the chimney, works out ventilation and confirms what building regulations ask of your particular house.
We hold 18 stove dealerships, including Stovax, Dean Forge, Hunter, Ekol, Chilli Penguin, Mendip, Arada and Dovre, so the recommendation is based on what suits the room rather than what we happen to have in stock.
Installation is carried out by our own HETAS registered fitters. Dust sheets go down, the room is left clean and you get a certificate the same day, along with a first lighting so you know how to run it well.

- How much does a wood burning stove cost fitted in Kent?
- A typical installation into a sound existing chimney, including stove, flexible liner, hearth and labour, starts around two and a half thousand pounds. Your survey turns that into one fixed written price.
- Do I need a chimney to have a wood burner?
- No. Where there is no chimney we install a twin wall flue system, either up the outside wall or through the roof, which gives you a proper working flue in a house that never had one.
- Can I still burn wood in Kent?
- Yes. Burning dry wood on an ecodesign stove is permitted everywhere we work. Parts of Medway and the larger towns are smoke control areas, where the appliance needs to be exempt, and we will tell you at survey whether yours is.
