The new ecodesign ready wood burners are on display at our showroom in Burham, Kent.
What is ecodesign, you may ask. The industry is working to reduce the carbon footprint of solid fuel heating, and the Stove Industry Alliance put a scheme in place to help British wood burning stoves cut emissions well ahead of the regulations.
An ecodesign ready appliance burns the smoke as well as the wood. That second burn is where the gain comes from, and it is why these stoves use noticeably less fuel than a stove of the same size fitted twenty years ago.
To make the change easier we offer a stove scrappage scheme, taking out an old and less efficient wood burning stove and putting a discount against the new one. Call the showroom and we will tell you what your old burner is worth against a replacement.
Old stoves are often oversized as well as inefficient, so a replacement is usually a chance to get the sizing right at the same time.
