Stovax is one of the dealerships we have held longest, and it remains the range we reach for when somebody wants a clean, architectural fire rather than a traditional box on legs.
The stove shown here is the Studio 1, which has a heat output of 5kW. It is an inset model, so the body of the stove sits back inside the builders opening and the glass reads as a wide letterbox of fire in a flat plastered wall. In a modern room it disappears until it is lit.
Five kilowatts suits the majority of Kent living rooms. It is enough to heat a well insulated through lounge without having to run the stove shut down, which is where glass blackens and tar builds in the flue.
An inset installation asks more of the survey than a freestanding one. The opening has to be deep enough, the lintel sound, the hearth correct and the liner sized to the appliance rather than the chimney, so we measure everything before a price is quoted.
As official dealers we can supply the latest ecodesign ready Stovax models, and we fit them with our own installers rather than subcontractors.
